This volume, perhaps the finest collection of British engravings ever assembled together, also includes two plates by Charles Heath, aged 22 (The Infant Hercules, and 'Ecce Homo'), 1807 in his catalogue.

Separate Print - Engraved by Jame Heath after John Opie R.A. Published by W.H.Betty, James Heath, and Colnaghi, on 4 June 1807, as a sequel to James Heath's engraving after Northcote in 1805; for an account of the dispute which occurred then see Farington's Diary (1805). The Royal Academy record of the exhibition of a print of Betty by Charles Heath in 1806 is presumably a mistake for James Heath's print here when it was in proof.
1. - William Henry West Betty as Young Norval from the play 'Douglas' by John Home - plate size 50 x 34cm.
----------------------------------------------------------
Separate Print - Engraved by James Heath after J.Russell R.A. Described in the Huntington reference as 'an example of mechanical and dull line engraving,' although it is actually a fine-looking print. The original painting, as stated on the engraving, was commissioned by Isaac Milner, Dean of Carlisle. The print was later used as a centrepiece for the much larger anonymous print 'Heroes of the Abolition of the Slave Trade.'
1. - William Wilberforce - plates size 30 x 25cm.
